The Word of the Lord spoke to me again, saying, "Take a vow of total silence, lasting two days, morning to evening." And so, I took an oath, dedicating my voice to the Lord to walk in silence for two days, morning to evening.
On the first day, being distracted by earthly things, and the work of my hands, I spoke a careless, unguarded word. Immediately, my face fell. Shame and guilt overwhelmed my soul, and so I fell on my face before the Lord, having not been released from my vow, groaning with sorrow in silence.
The Word of the Lord came to me again, saying, "Peace, I have seen your affliction in spirit, how you have repented with your face to the ground before Me. Now, resolve to do right by your vow, for I have covered over this trespass in My mercy and grace. You shall continue to the appointed end for your vow."
So I completed my appointed days. When it was finished, I cried out to the Lord, having been in distress that I could not raise my voice in praise and worship of my God.
Then the Word of the Lord came to me, saying:
"Little child, be comforted,
for I have covered over your transgression,
and made it as though you have not sinned in My sight.
Though you spoke an unguarded and careless word,
woe to those who speak in arrogance,
boasting as though in their own power."
Thus says Yahweh Sabaoth, The Lord of Hosts,
"As you have been silent,
so will I silence those who speak in My Name,
for I have not given My Words to them.
They have boasted in themselves, speaking in arrogance.
So I will take their voice,
and they shall prophesy no more.
"They have added to My Word,
in their own desires, they speak,
and so have proven themselves false.
Of these, who repents may take comfort in Me,
for they will call others to repent with them,
and not be torn down, as the false prophet."
Then the Lord spoke these words, saying, "Write down these words:
"Son of man, and child of My Spirit,
in you has been placed a faith
in My Provision for all man.
But the nations and peoples continue to reject Me,
They curse what is devoted, and despise what is Mine.
Shall I withhold My judgment forever?
"See? Even the widow has become evil in My sight,
for she desires what is devoted to Me,
and despises the service of My faithful servants.
She takes the good that I offer,
but demands ever more in greed.
Evil is called good, and what I have declared is good is called evil.
"Behold, O' mighty nation of the Gentiles,
You once loved Me as I loved you.
I established you along a fertile land,
and you spread the Word of My Kingdom.
I gave you wealth and prosperity,
and made you mighty!
"Now you have rejected My love,
and say, 'We have made ourselves mighty!
Let us sing and dance,
making love and drinking wine,
for the world shall be remade to our desire,
and do all that we please in our hearts.'
"I have arisen against you,
and put your arrogance at odds against you.
Even those in you who profess My Name,
have grown rebellious against My Commands.
So I have split this nation in two,
and so shall its land respond.
"I will make an example in you, O' nation,
I will destroy in you an arrogant city.
Your leaders will become tyrants to you,
your wishes granted to your hurt and shame.
Then, brother will rise against brother,
and you will know that I, The Lord, have spoken."
Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and Creator of all the Earth and heavens.
To Him be all glory and honor, for He is righteous.
