VIII - An Empire That Sacrifices Its Daughters

I lay in my bed at night, as sleep escaped me. Then, my ears beheld in the night, the sound of young women weeping in anguish. "What is this?" I cried out from my soul.

Then the Word of the Lord came to me.

"This is the sound of the daughters of England and Scotland, whose men and leaders have abandoned them. They are turned over to a foreign people, and are abused."

I started from my bed as all thoughts of sleep fled from me. "Let it not be so!" I cried out. "Let their daughters have justice!"

The Word of Yahweh again came to me.

"Far be it from Me that this offense should go unaddressed. My justice shall be served to those who have abandoned wisdom. Take down these words, and give them to the nations."

"Is the fear of God such a little thing?

Is the dignity of man so low in your eyes?

How long must I tolerate this rebellion?

How long must I abide your offenses?

"You raise false gods to condone your actions!

You create statutes partial to the wicked!

You condemn the innocent man in his home!

You call a bribe 'mercy' and a favor 'justice!'

"Will you continue to reject truth?

Will you continue to defend the wicked?

You call righteousness 'injustice',

and punish those who speak the truth!

"Listen now, and I will speak to you the truth,

Open your ears and hear the speech of God.

No longer will I abide these offenses,

Indeed, My judgment on your heads has come.

"The Spirits of my Judgment sally forth,

Indeed, My voice has spoken.

No longer will My words be silent,

Now they are cried aloud and come to pass."

To the Leaders of the United Kingdoms,

with no authority belonging to their king.

"You were once a mighty nation,

No longer an empire to your name.

You are reduced to nothing.

You debase yourselves and sell your children.

I am about to turn you over to your people,

And then I shall strike you with violence and bloodshed.

"Then you will know that I, Yahweh, love My children, and defend the innocent, bringing blood on the heads of those who sacrifice children to false gods. I, Yahweh, have spoken."
